Favorite Part of Swim Instructor: My favorite part of being a swim instructor is getting to work with kids and seeing them have fun learning the sport that I enjoy very much. Since every child is not the same, working with children allows me to pull my creative side to fit each child's needs. Knowing that I am teaching someone a life skill, to feel confident in the water, is the most rewarding. To add a bonus: I get to play with kids and swim in the pool-- that is my happy place.
Experience with Kids: I love working with kids as their excitement is very refreshing. They always bring a smile to my face. I have two younger siblings and thus I know very well how to keep kids engaged. I taught private and group lessons at the City of Irvine aquatics program ranging from 1-15 years and adult last summer. I also assisted swimming coach on teaching private swim teams with children ranging from 9-13 years old. Most importantly, I can tailor every lesson to meet each individual‘s need and easy to communicate with.
Experience with Swimming: I have a passion for the aquatics and am committed to the safety of children. I am currently a swimmer at Irvine High School and have been swimming for almost 10 years now. I coached swim team for three years. For the past two years, I worked as life guard in City of Irvine during summer. I also taught/teach private and public swim lesson at City of Irvine last summer.
