Favorite Part of Swim Instructor: I've swam competitively for 13 years and am always excited to pass on my love for the sport to kids of all ages. I love seeing kids improve and succeed in swim and ultimately, fall in love with the sport themselves. It's a very rewarding and a great experience.

Experience with Kids: I have taught swim lessons since I was 13, and was a junior coach for a local swim team when I was 16. I worked with kids from age 3, all the way up to ages 15-16. When I was on a competitive team, I always had to interact with kids of many different ages. I've seen it all.

Experience with Swimming: I swam competitively for 13 years on Springwood Swim Club and Dana Hills and just recently ended my Rec swim career. I swam on the varsity high school team for four years and was a captain for two. I went to NCS all four years and competed at the local County meet since I was 14.

Favorite Part of Swim Instructing: My favorite part about being a swim instructor would have to be watching and knowing you're part of the growth of the student, in and out of the pool. I love seeing people progress and go from being unable to do something, to being proficient in it, which makes them happy. In turn, it makes me happy seeing them happy and makes me want to work harder to continue the growth.

Experience with Kids: I've had plenty of experience with kids. When my family and I travel to visit relatives every year, I am always assigned as a babysitter to take care of my nieces and nephews. As a result, I've had plenty of experience taking care of children.

Experience with Swimming: I've known how to swim all my life. I've taken swim classes before and have a pool in my backyard, which I use all year round! As an instructor, I've instructed people through personal training before, so those skills will translate over to being a swimming instructor.
